Our Story

I founded Anton Consulting twenty-two years ago after finishing a stint as Senior Vice President of Customer Relationship Management at a direct marketing agency in San Francisco.  I had just made it through a few pretty intense years of the dot.com boom and bust when I chose to leave the agency and I thought I was through with consulting.  

 

I actually moved to LA thinking I was going to become a high school English teacher and it was here that a good friend said, “ Hey, I think my boss needs the kind of consulting you do.”  Three weeks later I was  contracted as a gun-for-hire and I conducted a strategic workshop that mapped out where they were headed over the next three years. The project was seen as a huge success, and they handed me three more initiatives to complete that year -- which I enjoyed delivering immensely.  

 

Well, that first client happened to be Time Warner, and just like that I had a calling card to work with large blue-chip companies.  One thing led to another, and I kept getting referrals from old bosses, former colleagues, and friends -- all of whom were working at large companies.  Twenty-two years later most of our business still comes from referrals but I am no longer a gun-for-hire.  I have a  cadre of about twelve very experienced, seasoned consultants with top-notch skills, and our client portfolio is made up of some of the most respected companies in the world.   

 

I love what I do and I stay personally engaged with many of our clients.  We never start a new engagement without putting our best people on the project and it seems to pay off.  I’m proud to say that we have very long-lasting client relationships that span multiple years, and in some cases, even decades.   

 

Ultimately, we are in the business of trust.  Our clients trust us with their most important initiatives and -- quite frankly – their careers.  We never take it lightly and we view their professional successes as if they were our own.
